Southwestern Colorado's San Juans encompass about 10,000 square miles of some of the most ruggedly majestic and beautiful scenery found anywhere in America. Composed of numerous sub-ranges (San Miguel, Grenadier, Needle Mtns, Sneffels, La Plata, and others) of towering peaks, as well as very picturesque towns like Ouray, Lake City, Telluride, and Silverton, this region has much to offer in the way of aesthetically eye-catching and colorful photographic compositions.
